• Chris Ashton and David Flatman to join permanent expert line up for new season

Every game from the Gallagher Premiership, and all matches from November’s Autumn Nations Series and 21 matches from the Premiership Women’s Rugby season – TNT Sports will be the destination for fans for both domestic and international rugby during the 2024-25 season.

Between the start of the Premiership Rugby season on Friday 20 September and the Premiership Rugby Final on Saturday 14 June next year, TNT Sports and discovery+ will broadcast 135 matches live on its channels and platforms.

Scott Young, Group SVP, Content, Production and Business Operations, WBD Sports Europe said: “The upcoming rugby season promises to deliver more extraordinary moments as we unite domestic and international rugby under one roof. We at TNT Sports are excited to bring in excess of 100 live matches across the season to a wide cross section of fans and audiences over the next nine months.

“This year we will continue to create content and live coverage that connects with our audiences, putting them at the heart of everything we do through engaging storytelling. We will continue to work with governing bodies national unions and clubs to innovate our coverage and inspire sports fans to become fans of rugby.

On the Autumn Nations Series, he added: “We believe in the power of combining sports and entertainment, offering an even greater opportunity for viewers to support their home nation as they experience world class rugby through the lens of TNT Sports. International rugby is clearly an event for the whole family and we are excited to showcase the stories, live coverage and additional programming that is in place for November.”

GALLAGHER PREMIERSHIP RUGBY
Fans won’t miss a moment with every try, every tackle and every line-break from the upcoming Premiership Rugby season available to watch live, for the very first time - all 93 matches live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

DANNY CARE & CHRIS ASHTON JOIN PUNDIT LINE-UP
TNT Sports’ on-screen team this season will feature two luminaries of English rugby. Alongside his playing duties, the Harlequins legend, with over 100 caps for England; Danny Care. Plus, in a more prominent role, the top try scorer in English Premiership history; Chris Ashton, will also feature offering expert analysis and insight as the season unfolds.

They’ll be alongside some of the finest minds and distinctive voices in rugby. Newer members of the on screen and behind mic team include David Flatman, Emma Dodds, Jamie Lyall and Claire Thomas, plus the experienced regular faces and voices such as Craig Doyle, Orla Chennaoui, Ugo Monye, Sarra Elgan, Ben Kay, Sam Warburton, Austin Healey, Lawrence Dallaglio, Emily Scarratt, Brian O’Driscoll, Alistair Eykyn and Nick Mullins.
,
Coverage of the Premiership Rugby season starts on Friday 20 September with a repeat of last year’s final as champions Northampton Saints travel to The Rec to play Bath Rugby (KO 19:45, TNT Sports and discovery+). On the same evening, Newcastle Falcons host the Bristol Bears (KO 19:45, discovery+).

ALLIANZ PREMIERSHIP WOMEN’S RUGBY
Building on a successful first season that saw coverage reach 1.6m people across the UK and Ireland, TNT Sports will once again broadcast the match of the round from Premiership Women’s Rugby. 21 games in total across the season will be shown live, including the Semi-finals and Final in March.

Familiar faces and voices such as Sarra Elgan, Claire Thomas and Ugo Monye will feature in the presentation and commentary teams where they will be joined by arguably England’s finest ever female player, Emily Scarratt.

The season of Premiership Women’s Rugby on TNT Sports kicks off on Sunday 6 October with Leicester Tigers’ visiting last year’s champions Gloucester-Hartpury.

AUTUMN NATIONS SERIES
In another first this season, TNT Sports and Discovery+ will show all 21 matches from this year’s eagerly awaited Autumn Nations Series.

In 2024, the Autumn Nations Series sees the likes of the New Zealand All Blacks, the South African Springboks and the Wallabies from Australia all travel to the Northern Hemisphere to play the best players that our countries have to offer.

TNT Sports’ production plans will be announced in due course, but for the rugby fan, the Autumn Nations Series provides a perfect barometer to see how each of the Six Nations teams are tracking ahead of upcoming tournaments, while for the casual fan - who just loves watching sport - it is a month-long festival of rugby.

This year’s Autumn Nations Series kicks off with a double-header on Saturday 2nd November. England host New Zealand at Twickenham Stadium (KO 15:10) which will be followed by Scotland taking on Fiji at Murrayfield Stadium (KO 17:40).

HSBC SVNS SERIES
Offering sports fans even more international rugby, TNT Sports and discovery+ will also broadcast every round of the high octane 2024-25 HSBC SVNS Series live with the first round taking place in Dubai between 30 November and 1 December as rugby sevens propels into the new season off the back of huge success at the Paris Olympic Games.

AND OFF THE PITCH…
TNT Sports will ensure every angle is covered off the pitch this season. The Friday night build-up will preview the weekend’s action whilst a review show – The Rugby Review – will follow the final game on each weekend during the season, and will include best-in-class analysis, big storylines and features, along with behind-the-scenes access and fan interaction.

Alongside the live action, TNT Sports will also bring two exciting new rugby documentaries this season. Jonah Lomu: The Lost Tapes, is set to premiere ahead of the Autumn Nations Series while another as-yet-untitled documentary will chart the lives of England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning side post their illustrious playing careers. Dates when each documentary will premiere will be announced in due course.

Throughout the season, TNT Sports’ digital and social platforms will complement its live television and streaming coverage. From match reports and highlights to expert analysis and behind-the-scenes content , TNT Sports will ensure fans can enjoy the full, 360-degree rugby experience.
