WIGGINS RENEWS EUROSPORT PARTNERSHIP WITH EXTENDED PODCAST SERIES
Following a successful debut last year, Eurosport renews its podcast partnership with cycling legend Sir Bradley Wiggins for the 2019 cycling season – covering all the top races on the calendar.
Returning with a 20-part series, The Bradley Wiggins Show by Eurosport will air every Monday, starting 18 March, available on all major podcast providers including iTunes, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and via eurosport.co.uk. Graham Willgoss, former cycling editor of Sport magazine and regular cycling contributor on talkSPORT2, joins as the new show host.
Wiggins, the only cyclist to have won both World Championships and Olympic gold medals on the track and road, as well as the Tour de France, will give his unique perspective on all the major talking points as the season unfolds as he is joined by an array of special guests throughout 2019.
Commenting on the show, Sir Bradley Wiggins said: “Eurosport has played an important role in developing the sport of cycling in the UK and mainland Europe for many years, establishing a passionate fanbase of cycling followers.
“I am looking forward to getting back behind the microphone and offering something for everyone from the hardcore cycling fans to newcomers to the sport”.
The series follows an impressive debut last year with more than 1m downloads during the Tour de France, peaking at #2 in the Sport and Recreation category in the iTunes chart, making it the most-listened-to cycling podcast during Le Tour. You can re-watch clips and the full series here.
Eurosport has once again teamed up with renowned UK-based podcast production company, Muddy Knees Media, to deliver the series.
In 2019, cycling fans across Europe will be able to watch more than 30 UCI World Tour events live on Eurosport and Eurosport Player, available on the app and online via eurosport.co.uk. Eurosport Player also allows viewers to catch-up and re-live all the action on demand. Visit here to sign-up.
Eurosport will bring fans unrivalled expertise and analysis from all the best moments of the 2019 season.
