TNT SPORTS PARTNERS WITH ALZHEIMER'S SOCIETY ONCE MORE TO RELEASE NEW VIDEO CONTENT TACKLING DEMENTIA

2 September 2026

One person can’t take on dementia on their own, it takes a team. That's why TNT Sports are once again partnering with Alzheimer's Society this World Alzheimer's Month to raise awareness of dementia.

TNT Sports and Alzheimer’s Society today announce the release of a powerful short film. Working in collaboration to produce the film, it leads with the message that ”It’s just not good enough”, to highlight low dementia diagnosis rates and limited treatments.

As part of a continued TNT Sports original production, sporting legends, presenters, commentators and broadcasters from the world of sport feature as the storytellers, encouraging people to recognise the symptoms of dementia, visit the Alzheimer’s Society Symptoms Checklist and get the support they deserve.

The campaign highlights that whilst things aren’t good enough today, change is coming. New drugs and new treatments are on the horizon and dementia is finally receiving the attention it deserves. If people can receive a timely diagnosis it opens up access to these treatments as well as support from Alzheimer’s Society. Transfers

As part of the continued partnership between TNT Sports and Alzheimer’s Society we want to show that real progress is only possible if we act together. As a society, as a team, we can defeat dementia.

Because it will take a society to beat dementia.

Content features starring roles with former Arsenal and England women’s football international Karen Carney, Arsenal and England men’s football international Martin Keown, former Rangers and Scotland men’s football international Ally McCoist, former Saracens, Bath and England rugby international David Flatman, British former professional tennis player Laura Robson, award winning sports commentator Darren Fletcher, revered motorsport broadcaster Suzi Perry, and TNT Sports presenters Laura Woods, Lynsey Hipgrave, and Craig Doyle.

Andrew Georgiou, President and Managing Director, Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland and WBD Sports Europe, said: ”Sport has a unique ability to spark conversation and bring communities together and as a sports broadcaster we are nothing without the communities we serve.

"Dementia is one of the most urgent health challenges facing families across the UK and Ireland but a timely diagnosis can change their future. "As part of our continued partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society, our new campaign features some of sport’s most powerful storytellers to raise greater awareness, encourage people to recognise the signs and help more people access the support they deserve.”

Michelle Dyson CB, Chief Executive of Alzheimer’s Society, said: ”Around one million people live with dementia in the UK, yet one in three don’t have a diagnosis. Delays to diagnosis cause huge challenges for people living with dementia and their loved ones, left to cope without the right treatment, care and support. This simply is not good enough – we would not accept this for cancer; we must not accept it for dementia.

”Sport’s ability to unite communities and provide hope in the darkest of times is needed now more than ever. We are grateful for the continued support of TNT Sports and their world-renowned talent, for the third consecutive year, in shining a spotlight on dementia throughout World Alzheimer’s Month.

”Their support will help to raise much-needed awareness of dementia, the UK’s biggest killer, and make sure that sports fans and families across the UK receive the dedicated help they need, so no-one is left to face dementia’s devastation alone.”

The 45 second video launches across TNT Sports channels and digital platforms from Saturday 5 September, airing during TNT Sports’ live coverage of Newcastle vs Bournemouth, as well as airings during the opening week of the UEFA Champions League phase 8 – 10 September, as well as the UEFA Europa league, MotoGP, La Vuelta, Premier League games and the Gallagher PREM in the run-up to World Alzheimer’s Day on 21 September.

The films are the latest in a series of original productions which shine a light on the power of sport in impacting people’s lives such as Sign Up - Into Football, which aims to raise the profile of the deaf community in the UK.

We use British Sign Language (BSL), subtitles and voiceover to make the programme accessible for both deaf and hearing football fans.

Just as sport shows the power of coming together for one cause, we’re joining the nationwide team to help end the devastation of dementia. Join the team today and help us change the game.
