VODAFONE GREECE EXTENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH DISCOVERY COMMUNICATIONS FOR VODAFONE TV CONTENT
Vodafone Greece and Discovery Communications today announced the extension of their long-term partnership in the Greek market. The enhanced deal between the two companies includes the launch of 2 channels, Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 and will give the opportunity to all Vodafone TV subscribers to enjoy unlimited sports content from across the continent, as well as live Eurosport coverage of the 2018-2024 Olympic Games.
The number one sport destination in Europe for passionate fans, Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 will soon launch on Vodafone TV and include, among other sporting highlights, live coverage on Eurosport from the 2018 and 2022 Olympic Winter Games and 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games. Both channels will join to the existing Discovery networks currently available on the Vodafone TV service; Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Discovery Science and IDX.

Eurosport 1 is the home of some of the biggest passion sports including football, cycling, motorsports and tennis, with daily live action enhanced by the channel’s team of experienced local commentators, while Eurosport 2 offers complementary live coverage of all the best events broadcast on Eurosport 1. Sporting highlights to look forward to across both channels later this year include The U.S. Open tennis tournament and La Vuelta cycling race in September, the start of the winter sports season in November, including the Ski Jumping and Biathlon World Cups, and in 2018 Eurosport will bring the best moments from the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang.
