Starting today, Eurosport will air exclusive live digital coverage from US Open qualifying, featuring former top five ranked players Eugenie Bouchard and Tommy Robredo, with matches from five courts free-to-air on eurosport.com and also available on Eurosport Player* and the Eurosport app, strengthening Eurosport’s digital-first approach to screening premium sporting content.

For the main tournament, Eurosport will broadcast more than 300 hours of live tennis – more than ever before – with all 16 courts and EVERY match available to watch live on Eurosport Player, the first time all courts have been produced for live coverage. 

Eurosport’s US Open coverage, which is exclusive across Europe (except UK, Austria and Switzerland), will once again feature the very best experts in tennis with Mats Wilander, Barbara Schett, John McEnroe and Patrick Mouratoglou – coach of Serena Williams – joined by the biggest local tennis heroes including; Boris Becker and Barbara Rittner (Germany); Marion Bartoli and Henri Leconte (France); Alex Corretja (Spain) and, for the first time at Flushing Meadows, the 2015 Women’s Champion – Flavia Pennetta – who will provide analysis and commentary for Eurosport Italy.

Ensuring every possible angle is covered for tennis fans, Eurosport will offer more digital-first and social content at Flushing Meadows in 2018. Following the success of Eurosport tennis vodcasts at Roland Garros, several local and global versions will be produced during the US Open.

Fans in Germany will hear expert comments from Boris Becker during Aufschlag Becker alongside Barbara Rittner. In Italy, Flavia Pennetta will front a dedicated show - Langolo Di Flavia - and Alex Corretja will contribute to La Casa Del US Open for Spanish supporters. All shows will feature four episodes during the fortnight, and be supplemented by regular ‘Tennis Legends’ international vodcasts with John McEnroe and Mats Wilander, which will feature Patrick Mouratoglou and special guests from the tennis world.

Further Eurosport coverage highlights from Flushing Meadows includes:

   ·  Mats Wilander and Barbara Schett will once again host Eurosport’s daily flagship show Game, Schett & Mats where the duo will review and preview the best matches and bring interviews with the biggest names in tennis twice a day live from New York

   · Patrick Mouratoglou will analyse the games of the top players in the world in The Coach utilising Augmented Reality and, for the first time in New York, 3D technology

   · Adding further value to the Eurosport Player experience, 10 classic matches in US Open history will be available exclusively throughout the tournament including; the 2002 Final between Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi, the 2011 face-off between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic and the 2012 Women’s Final between Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka
