14 October 2025

• 143 years of history on the line as England tour Down Under in bid to win the Ashes with every ball broadcast live on TNT Sports
• Becky Ives to front coverage from Australia, with Sir Alastair Cook, Graeme Swann and Steven Finn joining TNT Sports’ presenting team
• TNT Sports will also present coverage from England’s white ball tours of New Zealand and Sri Lanka this winter

TNT Sports has announced its full production plans for the highly anticipated NRMA Ashes Series, promising fans unrivalled access to every moment of the iconic battle between England and Australia.

The action will be available live and on-demand via TNT Sports and its streaming platform, discovery+. With a dedicated on-site team embedded in Australia across all five Tests, TNT Sports is committed to bringing the Ashes to life with in-depth coverage, expert insight, and innovative viewing features.

On-the-ground coverage in Australia will be led by presenter Becky Ives. Becky will be joined at each Test by a heavyweight team of former England internationals – Sir Alastair Cook, Graeme Swann and Steven Finn - across the five Tests. Together, the trio boasts 257 Test appearances and 10 Ashes series victories and were part of the last England squad to win an Ashes series on Australian soil. Together, they will offer viewers unparalleled perspective from inside the travelling England camp and what is taking place on the pitch.

Throughout the series, the team will be joined by a host of special guests giving their thoughts from an Australian perspective as well as the series as a whole. Commentary will be provided by Alastair Eykyn and Rob Hatch with former England women’s international Ebony Rainford-Brent as well as Cook, Swann and Finn on co-commentary duty.

Viewers watching the action on discovery+ will benefit from the timeline markers feature throughout the series – allowing them to catch up on all the highlights and pivotal moments at their own pace. To complement the live action, TNT Sports will broadcast highlights throughout the daytime on its linear channels and discovery+.

In addition, TNT Sports will produce The Edge – a review programme presented from its studios in London - airing in an evening prime-time slot on TNT Sports after the completion of each Test (UK time). Host Craig Doyle will be joined by two special guests with each show delving into the key moments and standout performances, offering expert analysis and fresh perspectives.

TNT Sports’ coverage of the NRMA Ashes Series forms part of a mouth-watering winter of cricket that includes every England men’s team fixture. TNT Sports will cover England’s white-ball tour of New Zealand (3 x One-Day Internationals and 3 x T20 Internationals, 18 October – 1 November) as well as its tour of Sri Lanka in January 2026.

The start of the NRMA Ashes Series in November coincides with an unmissable month of action that features well over 1,000 hours of live sport on TNT Sports. In November alone, TNT Sports will broadcast every match from the Quilter Nations Series – including England taking on Australia at Twickenham (1 November) - and the dramatic conclusion of the MotoGP season from Valencia (14-16 November). The football season continues apace throughout the month, meanwhile, with live coverage of the FA Cup 1st Round, the Premier League, as well as Matchdays Four and Five from the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League.

Sir Alastair Cook: "The Ashes is always one of the tours you look forward to — it's one of the toughest challenges in cricket. Winning a Test series in Australia is incredibly rare for touring sides. I’ve experienced both the highs of victory and the disappointment of falling short over there, but there’s a real buzz around this England team. You get the sense they’re capable of doing something special this time."

Becky Ives: “As a lifelong cricket fan who grew up scoring matches and still follows the game closely today, it’s an enormous privilege to be leading TNT Sports’ coverage of The Ashes. It’s one of the most iconic events in the world of sport, and to have the opportunity to present the series alongside some of the modern greats of the English game, sharing the story of each Test with millions of viewers across the UK and Ireland, is a true career highlight. I’m incredibly excited to get started.”

Graeme Swann: “An Ashes series in Australia is the absolute pinnacle for any English cricketer. It’s what you dream of when you’re coming through club and then county cricket. While Australia are a formidable side on home soil, and circumstances have tended to conspire against the England side on recent tours there, I’d back this England team to give the series a real shake.”

Steven Finn: “When you are growing up, the Ashes is the series you want to play in and the one where you make your name. Playing in front of packed houses in the huge stadiums in Australia is the stuff dreams are made of. I have a feeling this will be a really tight, topsy turvy series where every session could decide the fate of the test match. There are some world-class players on show, and this has the makings of a classic series with England trying to win in Australia for the first time in 15 years.”

Ebony Rainford-Brent: “The Ashes has always been more than just a cricket series — it’s a test of nerve, skill, and spirit. This time, it may be decided by the finest of margins, with Australia’s world-class pace attack setting the tone. For England, much will depend on how their batters stand up to that challenge — and how the travelling squad copes with everything that comes with an Ashes tour, both on and off the field.”

BIOGRAPHIES:
Becky Ives: A passionate sports broadcaster, Becky is one of TNT Sports’ leading football presenters, fronting coverage across the Premier League and European football for both the men’s and women’s game. Beyond football, she has anchored some of TNT Sports’ biggest live events, including the historic Undisputed Heavyweight Title clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, including their highly anticipated rematch seven months later. Becky’s versatility has also seen her present coverage across the NFL, cycling, the Major League Baseball’s London Series, and motorsport, showcasing her depth of knowledge and enthusiasm across the sporting world. Now, Becky brings her trademark energy to the cricket stage as she joins TNT Sports’ presentation team for The Ashes in Australia, one of sport’s most iconic and fiercely contested rivalries.

Sir Alastair Cook: Widely-regarded as the England’s best-ever opening batsman, Sir Alastair made the first of his 161 Test appearances in March 2006 in India having made his debut for his county Essex three years earlier. He was appointed captain of the Test team in August 2012. During a glittering career, Cook won four Ashes series before retiring in 2018, ending his glittering career as the sixth highest Test run scorer of all-time and fourth most capped Test player of all-time.

Steven Finn: Steven made his England debut aged 20 and went on to play 36 Tests, taking 125 wickets. A three-time Ashes winner, including the away victory in 2010/11, Steven has established himself as a respected broadcaster since retiring from cricket in 2023.

Graeme Swann: Graeme was one of England’s finest off spinners, taking 255 wickets in just 60 Tests. One of the sport’s most engaging personalities, Graeme pulled on an England shirt for the first time in 2000 in a one-day international and waited a further eight years before making his Test debut in December 2008. A three-time Ashes winner, Graeme was also part of the squad that won England’s first-ever ICC trophy when they emerged victorious at the World Twenty20 in 2010.

Ebony Rainford-Brent: Having been introduced to cricket at the age of 10, Ebony was a member of the 2009 England Women’s Cricket Squad that won the World Cup, the World T20 and an Ashes Series. Now a respected broadcaster, Ebony moved into cricket administration, becoming the first Director of Women’s Cricket for Surrey County Cricket Club. Ebony is also the founder of the ACE Programme Charity, a national charity launched in 2020 to enhance diversity and inclusion in cricket by increasing the participation and finding diverse talent.
