Representing The British & Irish Lions is the pinnacle for any player from England, Scotland, Ireland or Wales. And now, in a brand-new documentary, TNT Sports will take viewers on a journey into the Lions’ Den with unmatched access to showcase what it means to pull on the legendary red jersey.

Lions Uncut: Australia 2025 is the compelling behind-the-scenes film that takes fans inside the heart and soul of the 2025 British & Irish Lions victorious Tour of Australia.

It represents the exclusive definitive story of the highs and lows of a memorable Tour Down Under, set to deliver a sporting narrative capturing the emotion and passion within the inner sanctum of a team that only comes together once every four years.

The feature film has established itself as one of the most anticipated pieces of sports programming of its kind. The TNT Sports Original documentary, in co-production with The British & Irish Lions and Lions Productions / Whisper offers unparalleled access to the Lions’ camp, revealing the emotional highs and lows, raw honesty and unwavering pride that define the Tour experience.

The film will also feature behind-the-scenes footage of the Lions’ pre-Test fixtures including the victories against Western Force, Queensland Reds and NSW Waratahs, taking fans on the ultimate journey through the two-month feast of rugby. It exposes not only the intensity and athleticism of elite international rugby but also the enduring meaning of the Lions badge.

An adventure full of emotion, conflict and historical theatre, its core is driven by on and off the pitch drama, brought to life by the players, coaches, fans and families who were at the heart of the Qatar Airways Lions Men's Tour to Australia 2025.

Highlights include the Lions dramatic comeback in the record-breaking second Test in Melbourne, where they overturned a 23-5 deficit to defeat the Wallabies 29-26 with a last-minute try from Hugo Keenan in front of more than 90,000 fans at the iconic MCG, a victory hailed as one of the greatest Test matches in Lions history.

Other storylines feature Head Coach Andy Farrell’s inspirational leadership, Maro Itoje’s first Tour as Captain plus numerous battles for selection. The bonds and friendships formed humanise the narrative shining a light on the stories away from the pitch, which have become historically synonymous with this iconic film.

Scott Young, EVP Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, said: “We’re proud to be the exclusive home of ‘Lions Uncut: Australia 2025’ and tell the story of this iconic series. This film captures the essence of what makes the Lions truly special – the emotion, the heritage, and sporting prowess. It’s storytelling that goes far beyond the pitch and aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering world-class, emotionally resonant sports content.

“This further strengthens our portfolio of premium rugby content and will act as a perfect platform as we head into the Quilter Nations Series, with many of the same stars of international rugby again on show, starting with England taking on the Wallabies on November 1st at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.”

Ben Calveley, Chief Executive Officer of The British & Irish Lions, said: “We are hugely excited to release ‘Lions Uncut: Australia 2025’ this month following on from our Emmy-nominated documentary from the 2021 Tour.

"Head Coach Andy Farrell, our players and the whole touring party gave unprecedented access to Lions Productions, allowing us to capture premium and engaging content to connect us deeper with our fans. "The tradition of Lions sporting documentaries are a huge part of our tours and we are extremely excited to showcase the story behind our Series win in Australia.”

Lions Uncut: Australia 2025 will premiere on TNT Sports and discovery+ on 31st October ahead of TNT Sports’ exclusive live coverage of every match of the Quilter Nations Series.

In May this year, TNT Sports announced new multi-year deals with Gallager PREM Rugby and Premiership Women’s Rugby, continuing its position as the home of domestic rugby.
