TNT SPORTS TO BRING ICONIC AUSTRALIAN SPORTS TO UK AND IRELAND

Fans in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch every race of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season as well as every game of the Australian Football League (AFL) on TNT Sports and discovery+ through new rights deals.
TNT Sports is set to show two of Australia’s biggest sports in 2025, becoming the new, exclusive broadcaster of the Repco Supercars Championship (formerly V8 Supercars), whilst continuing as the home of the Australian Football League (AFL), in the UK and Ireland.
TNT Sports will bring live coverage of EVERY thrilling race from the upcoming season of the Repco Supercars Championship to TNT Sports and its streaming platform discovery+, as well as race highlights on its linear channels.
The live action begins on 20 February at Sydney Motorsport Park, as Will Brown of Red Bull Ampol Racing looks to defend his 2024 Championship title with teammate and last year’s series runner-up Broc Freeney, looking to go one better this time around.
The agreement strengthens TNT Sports’ motorsports coverage that already includes two-wheel action (MotoGP, FIM Speedway GP, FIM Superbike World Championship, Bennetts British Superbike Championship, British Speedway, FIM Endurance World Championship) and four-wheel action (FIA World Endurance Championship, including the 24h of Le Mans) across the year.
In a further win for fans of Australian sport, through a new multi-year rights agreement, every single game of the Toyota AFL Premiership season will continue to be broadcast live on discovery+ with selected games also shown on TNT Sports’ linear channels throughout the season.
The 2025 season begins with a blockbuster clash on 6 March as the reigning champions, the Brisbane Lions, take on the Geelong Cats at the Gabba. Fans will be able to watch AFL stars Lachie Neale and Max Holmes go head-to-head as the Cats look to avenge their 2024 preliminary final loss.
In addition, TNT Sports and discovery+ will show all AAMI Community matches starting on 25 February as well as every match from the NAB AFL Women’s league from August 2025.
Trojan Paillot, SVP Sports Rights Acquisitions and Syndications at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, said: “We're thrilled to welcome the Supercars Championship to TNT Sports as well as renewing our partnership with the AFL, continuing to showcase some of Australia's top sports to viewers in the United Kingdom. These iconic championships and competitions further strengthen TNT Sports’ offering of premium live content from across the world, adding even more sport to our outstanding portfolio which is available via discovery+.”
From 28 February, TNT Sports will bring more live content to fans with a line-up that includes the Australian Open and Roland-Garros tennis Grand Slams, Grand Tour cycling, the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, every major winter sports World Championship and World Cup event, British and World Superbikes, snooker and the Olympic Games alongside the Premier League, UEFA European club football, Premiership men’s and women’s rugby, MotoGP, international cricket, UFC and boxing.
