TIGER, RORY AND JASON GIVEN JAPANESE LESSON AHEAD OF THE CHALLENGE
NEW YORK, LONDON, October 9, 2019 – They’ve mastered the greens of Gleneagles, the fairways of Fishers Island and the bunkers of Pebble Beach. But what happens when four of the sport’s greatest golfers return to the classroom?
Ahead of The Challenge: Japan Skins on October 21 at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day were summoned back to school by head teacher Hideki Matsuyama for a Japanese lesson they’ll never forget to help them prepare for their arrival in Japan later this month. From learning key golfing terms to understanding the local culture and customs, Hideki puts his pupils through their paces whilst warning against public displays of frustration and the importance of respecting their elders.
All four players - Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and Hideki Matsuyama – will go head-to-head in MGM Resorts The Challenge: Japan Skins in a unique event to be streamed in full exclusively and free on GOLFTV* internationally and will be sure to thrill millions of golf fans around the world.
*Due to existing rights agreements in the UK and Ireland, fans will be required to subscribe to watch The Challenge. Passes start at £4.99/month. In the U.S., The Challenge: Japan Skins can be viewed live on Golf Channel.
