THE BREAKAWAY: EXCLUSIVE STAGE 4 PREVIEW QUOTES
Speaking exclusively to Eurosport and GCN's The Breakaway, Sir Bradley Wiggins shared his predictions for the race favourites ahead of stage 4.
Sir Bradley Wiggins:
“I think we’ll see some movement but [Julian] Alaphilippe, who was strongest the other day, I don’t think he’ll be in trouble tomorrow. I think it’s way too early for [Egan] Bernal and the others to lay their cards down. We don’t know – racing is so different to what it was 10 or 15 years ago, the Lance Armstong era, and the pattern of the race when you hit the Alps, the Pyrenees 10 days in… this is day 4. There’s also that lingering theory of what if the race ends after 10 days, if there’s an outbreak of Corona? There’s a little bit of uncertainty the way the race has panned out.
"It could be a good day for Adam Yates tomorrow. I wouldn’t put it past [Julian] Alaphilippe to go for the stage tomorrow. I don’t see Primoz Roglic and those guys moving tomorrow. I think a lot of those guys will want to limit the losses on GC.”
