SPORTING STARS SHARE SECRETS TO SUCCESS IN NEW EUROSPORT SERIES
The greatest champions answering the questions on everyone’s lips. Today Eurosport launches a new digital content series Voice Notes, which connects some of the biggest sporting stars with other athletes and celebrities from different walks of life to foster debate around the hottest topics.
From broaching important subjects such as mental health in elite level sport; revealing untold admiration for fellow athletes; and weighing in on the age-old GOAT (greatest of all time) debates across top sports, no topic is off-limits.
The first episode features seven-time snooker World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan as he answers questions put to him from fellow luminaries. These include six-time Premier League winner Rio Ferdinand who quizzes O’Sullivan on his sporting inspirations; four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome who left O’Sullivan starstruck when asking about his training regime; and PDC World Darts Championship winner Raymond van Barneveld who ponders which is more difficult: achieving a 147 break in snooker or throwing a nine-darter.
Speaking about his all-time sporting inspirations, Ronnie O’Sullivan, said:
“A big one for me was [Roger] Federer and now it’s [Novak] Djokovic because he’s doing some fantastic things in his sport. In football, I’d have to say it’s [Lionel] Messi – he’s just the governor. You watch him play and it’s something else, we all love Messi. Usain Bolt as well - he is one of the kings for me.”
The full line-up of sports stars and celebrities featured in episode one includes:
- Rio Ferdinand
- Chris Froome
- Adam Gemili
- Eilish McColgan
- Raymond van Barneveld
- Reanne Evans
- Orla Chennaoui
