IOC: TOKYO GAMES WILL BE READY THIS YEAR (EXCLUSIVE EUROSPORT INTERVIEW)

In an exclusive interview with Eurosport today, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) confirmed their confidence that the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will go ahead this summer as planned.
Mark Adams, IOC Director of Communications and Official Spokesperson, refuted recent media reports claiming the Games are in doubt due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
He stated: "You can get excited [for Tokyo 2020]. They will be amazing. It’s a bit of a cliché but we don’t have a Plan B.
“The Games will be ready for this year, so we don’t need to plan for another postponement or a cancellation… we will continue to work towards the Games this summer.”
