  • Paris-Roubaix, Duels in Hell will also broadcast on Eurosport across Europe and TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland on 10 April

HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s premier global streaming service, today announces a new and exclusive documentary* titled Paris-Roubaix, Duels in Hell will premiere on the platform across Europe ahead of the race this weekend, alongside a huge array of other non-live cycling content.

Paris-Roubaix, Duels in Hell is 102-minute documentary that tells the storied history of the epic Classics race dubbed the ‘Hell of the North’ while focussing on the era-defining rivalry between two of the sport’s greatest stars – Tadej Pogacar and Mathieu van der Poel – as they prepare to go wheel-to-wheel in Sunday’s race.

After the reigning World Champion Pogacar edged out his Classics rival van der Poel last weekend to equal his record of three Tour of Flanders victories, the all-conquering Slovenian star will again challenge the three-time Paris-Roubaix winner Van der Poel in his bid to make history and complete a clean sweep of cycling’s five Monuments.

The gripping documentary includes expert insights and contributions from Eurosport and TNT Sports cycling reporters Steve Chainel and Hannah Walker. As well as streaming on HBO Max across Europe, it will be available on Eurosport 1 across Europe on Friday 10 April at 13:15 CEST and TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland at 22:00 BST. Live coverage of Paris-Roubaix will stream on HBO Max across Europe from 10:30 CET as well as coverage on Eurosport 1 (Europe) and TNT Sports 1 (UK and Ireland).

The largest collection of cycling content streaming on HBO Max

Joining Paris-Roubaix, Duels in Hell, HBO Max will offer subscribers one of the best on-demand cycling content offerings anywhere. This includes new stories focussed on the world’s greatest races and riders across both road and mountain bike including:

The Cycling Show

Bringing fans closer to the sport’s biggest personalities, The Cycling Show is WBD Sports’ original weekly magazine show which gives fans exclusive access to different UCI World Tour team training camps. Ten 30-minute episodes feature interviews and insights from the riders and key team members assessing elite performance, nutrition and equipment, combined with cinematic training footage and recons. New episodes will be available to watch on Tuesday evenings on HBO Max, Eurosport (Europe) and TNT Sports (UK and Ireland).

The latest episode features interviews with SD Worx-Protime rider Lorena Wiebes, who reveals the secrets to winning a sprint; Lotte Kopecky and her ambitions for 2026; and the decision making behind Anna van der Breggen’s return to the peloton.

Giro d’Italia: Dreaming in Pink

A first-of-its-kind series that celebrates the Italian landscape and identity of the year’s first Grand Tour. Going beyond the competition and its extraordinary moments, the epic mountains, historic cities and breathtaking scenery will be narrated by voices who lived and breathed the race.

Available from late April, five 45-minute episodes presented in a cinematic style will interweave interviews and stories covering different aspects of the race. Each will focus on some of the iconic riders who made history on the Italian roads such as former champions Primoz Roglic, Richard Carapaz, Vincenzo Nibali, Francesco Moser and Ivan Basso alongside double Giro d’Italia Women’s winner Elisa Longoborghini and other female riders to have donned the famous maglia rosa including Marlen Reusser and Anna Henderson.

The Least Expected Day (El Dìa Menos Pensado)

All three episodes of season five of the series that goes inside the Movistar men’s and women’s UCI World Tour teams will soon be available across Europe on HBO Max. In a season defined by transition and renewal, new talents emerge alongside established leader Enric Mas to catapult the Spanish team towards its goals under a new identity during a captivating year of racing throughout 2025.

The Cycle: Becoming a Pro Rider

A new WBD Sports original 60-minute documentary follows five riders at very different stages of their careers while exploring the pressures, expectations, and constant reinvention that define life as a professional cyclist. Moving across road, cyclocross, track, and mountain biking, it offers an intimate look at ambition, identity, and resilience through the stories of Lachlan Stevens‑McNab, Evie Richards, Thibau Nys, Emma Norsgaard, and Emil Johansson.

Race Bikes

The original docuseries from WBD Sports Europe returns for a second season, delivering fans four new behind‑the‑scenes episodes that explore the stories and engineering behind some of downhill and cross‑country’s most iconic bikes. Hosted by mountain bike expert and reporter Ric McLaughlin, the series blends rider interviews, designer insights, and archive footage and is available ahead of the 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series where coverage will be available live and on demand on WBD Sports platforms.

Scott Young, EVP at WBD Sports Europe, said: “As the home of cycling, our ambition is to capture and convey the culture, drama and stories that define this incredible sport. From the majestic mountain trails and the technical brilliance of the bikes that descend them to the cobbles of the Classics and the generational talents that conquer them, we will leave no stone unturned in our storytelling pursuit.

“Alongside our ongoing live coverage of the entire men’s and women’s UCI World Tour season, the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series and more races across all forms of the sport than anyone else, we know our new slate of documentary content will keep existing cycling fans captivated between races while inspiring the next generation of fans and riders.”

As the streaming Home of Cycling, HBO Max offers fans the largest cycling content collection anywhere with exclusive documentaries available to subscribers alongside more than 1,000 live race broadcasts each season. This includes every Classics, Grand Tour and World Championship race live, the entire WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series and exclusive Track, Cyclocross and BMX events throughout the season.

*Paris-Roubaix, Duels in Hell will be shown exclusively on Warner Bros. Discovery’s platforms across Europe with non-exclusive coverage in France.
