EUROSPORT'S OLYMPIC REVOLUTION
Bolzano, 20th April 2017 - The countdown to the first Olympic Games signed by Eurosport has begun. With less than 10 months to the opening of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, this edition aims to amaze all sports fans.
A true revolution that will redefine the viewing experience of the Olympic Games with total coverage: anytime, anywhere and on all screens. Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2, the OTT Eurosport Player service and our social platforms, will not miss a single moment of the competitions and, together with behind-the-scenes coverage of the events, we will be drawing the attention of the whole world.
Luigi Ecuba, Senior Director Sports Discovery Networks Southern Europe: "The Olympic Games represent much more than just a sport event. Thanks to our partnership with the National Olympic Committee, we are preparing to bring a completely new experience into the homes of millions of Italians: a total immersion in the Games where anyone can choose to enjoy every second of the event, in any place, time and on any screen, all with the passion, expertise and production of Eurosport Italy excellence”
All live competitions, stories on champions, in-depth analysis, new technology: thanks to Eurosport, it will feel like actually being there, experiencing the emotions that only the Olympic Games are able to give, and getting in contact with traditions and customs of the South Korean culture.
Eurosport will of course be following the Italian team particularly closely, more competitive than ever before and that has already broken several records in the various World Cups. The local version of Eurosport Italy, in fact, will be a strong distinctive element of our programming: journalists and crew on site, local production, evening reviews and talk shows with Italian celebrities, will confirm the unprecedented efforts made by the Company.
The Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 will be the first broadcast by Eurosport as Home of the Olympics in Europe. Discovery Communications has the exclusive media rights for 50 countries and territories in Europe for the Olympic Games from 2018 to 2024.
