EUROSPORT SECURES RIGHTS TO ELITE HANDBALL IN FRANCE AND POLAND
• Six-year deal starting from the 2020-21 season
• Agreement encompasses major European club competitions
• EHF Champions League Men starts on Wednesday
Eurosport will be new home of elite handball in France and Poland after agreeing a six-year deal with the European Handball Federation (EHF) and EHF Marketing to exclusively screen the best European club competitions and high-profile national team fixtures the sport has to offer.
Viewers will have front row seats to the EHF Champions League, EHF European League and EHF European Cup – both men’s and women’s tournaments – exclusively live on Eurosport in France and Poland.
The agreement, which runs until the end of the 2025-26 season, re-affirms Eurosport’s commitment to long-term partnerships with rights-holders giving Discovery the ability to leverage its unrivalled global scale, brands and channel portfolio to help develop sports.
Handball fans in Poland, meanwhile, will be able to watch their men’s and women’s national teams in action with the 2020 women’s European Championship, as well as the 2022, 2024 and 2026 men’s and women’s European Championships, screened exclusively on Eurosport.
As part of the agreement with EHF, brokered by the Federation's exclusive media and marketing partners Infront and DAZN Group, Eurosport in France and Poland will also have exclusive rights to the next three editions of the men’s and women’s Beach Handball Euros.

Opening week key dates*:
• The 2020-21 season starts on Wednesday (16 September) with the first matchday from the men’s EHF Champions League group phase from 6.45pm CEST
• The next round of the DELO EHF Champions League starts on Saturday 19 September from 4pm CEST
• The next round of the EHF European League Men is scheduled for Tuesday 22 September from 6.45pm CEST
• The EHF European League Women starts on Saturday 10 October September from 4pm CEST
