The partnership means fans visiting Eurosport’s flagship online destination - eurosport.com - will be able to directly purchase tickets via StubHub to some of the world’s biggest sport and entertainment events. This includes top international football matches from La Liga, Serie A and the Champions League, the very best tennis tournaments such as Wimbledon and the ATP Tour Finals, and international and domestic boxing and rugby events including the Six Nations Championship. There will also be a bespoke, local ticket offering for visitors to Eurosport’s websites in Spain, France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.

Our global homepage - eurosport.com -  receives up to 60 million unique visitors per month and this agreement adds even more value to the user experience at a global and local level, in five major markets.”

According to Michelena, the European events market is “huge, with great potential and in steady growth.”

StubHub data shows that in 2017 the number of transactions by European consumers who purchase tickets for international European sporting events has increased by 41 per cent.

“An increasing number of people include in their travel plans the opportunity to attend an event in the country they are visiting as a central part of their tourism experience, above all in the case of major European league matches or other high-level competitions. With agreements such as this, we seek to strengthen the experiential tourism industry, a current growth segment,” Michelena added.
