ENGLAND LEGEND TO JOIN TNT SPORTS’ TEAM FOR THE NRMA ASHES SERIES
TNT Sports’ coverage of the upcoming NRMA Ashes Series will feature one of the game’s all-time greats.
As the five-Test battle between England and Australia gets underway on Friday 21 November, TNT Sports has revealed that Sir Jimmy Anderson will be part of its team throughout the much-anticipated tour Down Under.
Fresh from receiving his knighthood, Sir Jimmy - one of cricket’s all-time great fast bowlers with 704 Test wickets in 188 matches - will appear on every episode of The Edge, TNT Sports’ post-Test review show hosted by Craig Doyle, sharing his expert insights at the conclusion of each match.
In addition, three-time Ashes winner Matt Prior will join TNT Sports’ coverage on-the-ground in Australia for the second Test in Brisbane.
Last month TNT Sports announced its full production plans for the Ashes. Becky Ives will host coverage, with expert analysis from Sir Alastair Cook, Graeme Swann and Steven Finn. Former England international Ebony Rainford-Brent who will also offer her thoughts throughout the series on The Edge and from the commentary booth.
The first Test of the 2025-26 Ashes Series will be played at Optus Stadium in Perth, with coverage starting on TNT Sports 1 and discovery+ at 02:00am UK time.
BIOGRAPHY: Sir James Anderson
Widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers in the history of cricket, “The King of Swing” Sir James Anderson is England’s highest ever wicket taker. In an international career spanning just over 21 years, he’s played an incredible 188 Tests (704 wickets) and 194 One Day Internationals (269 wickets). Throughout the course of his career, Anderson was an Ashes winner on no fewer than four occasions. He currently plays for Lancashire Cricket Club and recently for Manchester Originals in The Hundred.
