DISCOVERY AND VODAFONE SIGN AGREEMENT IN SPAIN TO INCORPORATE EUROSPORT PLAYER IN THE VODAFONE TV OFFER

Madrid, July 20th, 2020 - Discovery and Vodafone have announced a strategic agreement to incorporate Eurosport Player, Eurosport’s leading live and on-demand sports streaming platform, to Vodafone TV, offering their subscribers the world-class sport showcased by Eurosport on any screen and at any time. With its addition to the Vodafone's TV service, Eurosport's unique content and product offering will be integrated into an operator's TV experience in Spain for the first time. Eurosport Player will be available on the big screen via set-top box and multi-screen from any device.

Customers with Vodafone TV's Sport pack, which already includes the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 TV channels, will have access to Eurosport Player at no additional cost. Offering the most comprehensive multi-platform sports offering in Europe, fans can enjoy the very best of the sporting calendar live and on-demand from the number one sports platform in Europe, however and whenever they choose.

Eurosport presents live coverage and all the stories, for some of the biggest sporting events in the world, including Roland-Garros, US Open and Australian Open tennis, the Grand Tours featuring the Tour de France and La Vuelta, and major motor racing events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Eurosport is Home of the Olympic Games in Europe, with exclusive rights to screen every minute of the Games on its digital platforms for Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022 and Paris 2024.

Eurosport Player’s exclusive live coverage, in depth analysis using the latest immersive technology, on demand content and comprehensive storytelling around, every event will offer subscribers the ultimate sports experience within the Vodafone TV service. Customers will be able to choose how to enjoy every second of their favorite sports with the ability to customise and personalize their viewing experience, such us choosing which court to follow all the action during a Grand Slam, selecting from multiple-camera option during big events and such more. 

In addition, Eurosport Player will make available to users a multitude of thematic channels with exclusive content around each discipline, as well as specific pop up channels during the main events, ensuring fans do not miss a second of what happens on each track, court or during a race. And all this combined with the analysis from the best and most extensive team of experts, engaging sports fans and bringing them close to the action with unique insights from the competition and different perspectives, alongside key on-screen data to tell a deeper story in real time.
