Four-time Olympic gold medallist André Lange will join Eurosport Germany for its coverage of all bobsleigh events from the Alpensia Sliding Centre at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in February.

André Lange will assume the role of Head Coach of the South Korean luge team in October and during the first week of the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, he will coach the team before linking up with Eurosport to provide expert insights of the bobsleigh events for German viewers watching on Eurosport during the second week. In addition to providing on-site analysis for fans on-site in PyeongChang, Lange will be a guest on several Eurosport shows as well as across Eurosport’s digital platforms.

With a unique line-up of renowned commentators and top-class sports experts, Eurosport plans to deliver the ultimate Games experience the German viewers and break down the performances of the athletes with passion and technical insights from former top athletes. As well as André Lange, respected sports experts Sven Hannawald, Martin Schmitt, Anni Friesinger-Postma, Frank-Wörndl, Michael Greis, Jochen Behle and Fabian Hambüchen will be on duty for Eurosport in PyeongChang.

During an illustrious career, Lange won four Gold Medals at three different Olympic Winter Games: Salt Lake City 2002 (four-man bob), Torino 2006 (two-man and four-man bob) and Vancouver 2010 (two-man bob). In addition, Lange collected a silver medal with the four-man bob in Vancouver 2010. After professional career came to an end, Lange became part of the coaching staff of the German Bobsleigh and Luge Federation (BSD) and spent a season as a television expert.

Bobsleighing is often described as the ‘Formula One in the Ice Channel’ – it combines high speeds of more than 150 km/h, a full athletic effort with complete control - and the smallest error can decide between victory or defeat. I want to explain all aspects of the sports but also tell the great athletes' stories.”
