Bugs Bunny to become guest reporter in brand new format Looney Tunes Presents: Sports Talk With Bugs Bunny
Much-loved animated cartoon character Bugs Bunny will be at the heart of the action during Eurosport’s coverage of the Olympic Games this summer.
Based in a secret location in the centre of Paris, Bugs will take on the role of guest reporter, interviewing current athletes from all over the globe as well as Eurosport’s cast of Olympic experts during Games-time with the content forming part of Eurosport’s daily local shows that will air across Europe.
With the Opening Ceremony just a day away, Bugs is putting the final touches to his preparations and today interviewed Eurosport reporter and double Olympic taekwondo medallist Lutalo Muhammad in the first episode of Looney Tunes presents: Sports Talk with Bugs Bunny.
Bugs Bunny’s role as guest reporter in Paris continues the Looney Tunes association with sport, Eurosport and the Games. Looney Tunes: Sports Made Simple has featured in Eurosport’s weekly Power of the Olympics programme, with each episode re-airing at editorially relevant moments during coverage of Paris 2024. The 90-second clips include the 4 x 100m relay, tennis, mountain biking, breaking, beach volleyball and gymnastics.

Last week it was announced that the Looney Tunes would be ambassadors for Warner Bros. Discovery at this year’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games with the public able to take part in a series of activities between 27 July and 11 August, including a meet and greet with Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny at the Parc Georges Valbon and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
The Looney Tunes, iconic cartoon characters are beloved by millions of fans worldwide. Known for their timeless humor and ability to entertain both young and old. By integrating the famous franchises into coverage and on-site activities in Paris, Warner Bros. Discovery, aims to reach a wider audience and attract new fans. For nearly 100 years, the Looney Tunes have embodied a spirit of humor, diversity, and positive energy. Their role as ambassadors for Warner Bros. Discovery is part of this tradition, allowing the group to celebrate sporting excellence while remaining committed to quality entertainment.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s coverage of the Opening Ceremony starts on the evening of Friday 26 July (check local listings) and will be available to watch across its linear and digital platforms. Eurosport, Max and discovery+* - are the only place to watch every moment of Paris 2024.
